We're merry musicians of Mooneschadowe,
We can play fast or we can play slow,
Only one jig and you'll agree
We always should play in the key of C.
We're merry musicians as you can see,
Playing for fun and playing for free.
When we have sung and we have played
You'll doubtless believe that we're overpaid.
If you want a dance tune that we can't play
We'll take a breath and play anyway
Play it faster, we hear your pleas,
But don't blame us for any injuries.
We practice often to maintain our touch
Discovering that 'we don't suck much'
Playing poorly, they will not care,
But still give us money at the Renn Faire.
Yes, we are the dancers, the proud, the few,
We'll do our dance without a walk-thru
As for the music, we've no gripes,
Except for the fact, we wish they were pipes.
I am a Mooneschadowe dance commando
I can dance fast, but I DON'T dance slow
Tune in a box is all we need,
Where real men are scarce, and the women lead!
